Pastor Tyson surrendered to preach the gospel in 2002. He became the associate pastor of Burlington Bible Church of Burlington, Ks in March 2003. He resigned his position there in July 2004 to become the associate pastor of Faith Baptist of Garden City and Victory Baptist of Lakin in August 2004. Pastor Tyson became the new pastor of Victory Baptist of Lakin on July 1, 2006.
